INTRODUCTION

National Night Out (NNO) is a national community-building campaign promoting police-community partnerships. The event, is held annually on the first Tuesday in August.

Virginia Beach neighborhoods celebrate NNO through a variety of events and activities such as cookouts, visits from Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) officers, other first responders, City leadership and community partners, as well as parades, flashlight walks, contests, youth programs, and more.
